What is the application process required in order to take this class?

  1. Register or login to the CASY registration system at www.casy.us/jobseekers
  2. Once in the system, click on search openings
  3. Enter req#_____________ in the “keyword” block
  4. Apply to the req by clicking the submit button at the top
  5. Complete the 3 assessments that will be sent to you after you submit your resume
  6. A counselor will connect with you after you turn in your assessments to determine the next steps in the program

Are classes offered only in a classroom setting or do you have online classes?

SMLA’s classes are conducted in a classroom setting for hands-on training.


Is there a certificate for these courses?

Yes, certification will be through SAP education.


What is the average salary for a career in SAP?

Who is a candidate for this program?

Candidates for this program are preferred to have a B.A., B.S., or Associate’s Degree. Candidates who do not possess a degree are required to have two or more years of experience in logistics, IT or a related field along with some college experience.


What is the cost of this course?

The cost of the SAP MM course is $7800 and the SAP ERP course is $8200. This includes registration, tuition, books/materials and the software license.


What types of funding assistance are available?

Funding sources include the following, depending on eligibility criteria:

  • Ft. Hood Training Site: SAP’s Veterans to Work scholarships for testing certification and Workforce funding for qualified applicants and GI Benefits as well as MYCAA.
  • Ft. Bliss Training Site: Pending Department of Labor IT apprenticeship
  • Detroit Arsenal Training Site: Michigan Work ACCESS and SAP’s Veterans to Work scholarships for testing certification and Workforce funding for qualified applicants, as well as state tuition assistance
  • National Guard Headquarters Lansing Training Site: Michigan Work ACCESS and SAP’s Veterans to Work scholarships for testing certification and Workforce funding for qualified applicants, as well as state tuition assistance

What is the SAP Career Skills Program?

Public law 112-56 VOW to Hire Heroes act 2011 which stated Secretary of Defense may permit a member of the armed forces eligible to participate in job training and employment skills training, including apprentice programs. For those service members who are within 180 days of completing their active duty obligation.


What is the SAP Veterans to Work Program and who qualifies for this program?
